Keystone XL Protest Message Campaign a Success

A campaign resisting the Keystone XL pipeline has succeeded in sending more than three quarters of a million messages to the US Senate. The message campaign came in response to Republican efforts to resurrect the environmentally destructive Keystone XL.

On February 13th 2012, 1,500 members that compose a 350.org group known as Team #noKXL, reached out to people asking them to tell US Senators to say no to the Keystone XL. The group’s objective was to send a half million messages to the Senate before they vote on disasterous legislation to go ahead with the Keystone XL.

Thanks to the participation of almost one million people they ended up sending over 800,000 messages to the Senate in just over 24 hours. On behalf of the organizers I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who took the time to send a message.
