A manual has been published that provides companies with guidance concerning the planning and building of sustainable business models and networks. It is intended for company decision-makers and it offers assistance with everyday routines.


The Towards sustainable business models and eco-industrial networks manual is a tool for planning at the strategic level. This refers to planning that recognizes the opportunities of sustainable business, develops a company’s business model or looks for new strategic partners.

The manual has two sections, the first covers sustainable business models which includes methods and tools. The second is covers eco-industrial networks section it shows how new network-like operating models can increase production efficiency (ie do more with less) and how to create a functional network.
