It is never too late to go back to school, and this event will assemble top experts for a short course on industry fundamentals to kick off EEI 2021. Begin the day with an Electricity 101 overview, and then select from six specific topics covering the industry’s foundations, ranging from clean energy to cybersecurity. If you’re hungry for more, our Ask the Experts networking rooms offer live, face-to-face interaction. Instruction materials will be available, and all content will be archived and available for 30 days post-event.

Pre-Conference Workshop

Electricity 101: The Industry Overview – Behind the light switch or laptop we casually turn on every day is one of the world’s most complex enterprises. In this introductory overview, EEI Executive Vice President Phil Moeller provides a guided tour of the electric power industry and its public policy agenda, which sets the stage for the rest of the day. Pre-Conference Day included with full member or non-member registration or purchase pre-con day only for $50.

Industry Basics

Six industry “short courses” offer a compact core curriculum that will help deepen your understanding of the U.S. electric power industry. Perfect for newcomers or anyone wanting to simply brush up their knowledge, these sessions will give you a solid foundation covering all the industry’s top issues. Watch live and network with your peers in between sessions or watch on-demand at your leisure. Industry Basics Sessions include Clean Energy, Cybersecurity, Electric Industry Finance, Electric Transportation, Utility Regulation, and ESG.

EEI 2021 will take an in-depth look at the major technology and policy milestones on the road to net zero.
